What problems do you work with?
I work with those who face challenges related to:
- major life transitions
- neglect or emotional, physical, or sexualized abuse,
- loss of a loved one through death or relationship break up,
- chronic illness,
- problem drug and alcohol use or other addictive behaviours
- stress and anxiety, or
- a crisis of faith or a need for spiritual connection.
Will my extended benefits cover your service?
Maybe.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC, so please check with your extended
health care insurance provider to see if they cover the fees of a Registered Clinical
Counsellor. Some only cover the fees of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Social Workers.
Do you work with people with Crime Victim Assistance funding?
Yes. I am approved to see clients with Crime Victim
Assistance funding. If you have been physically or psychologically injured from
a violent crime, or while trying to intervene in a crime in BC after July 1, 1972 you may be eligible for assistance. For more information see www.pssg.gov.bc.ca/victimservices/financial/index.htm
If you have experienced violence in a current or past relationship, sexualized assault or sexualized abuse as a child you can contact VictimLINK at 1-800-563-0808 or www.victimlinkbc.ca/ to find an agency in your area to help you with the Crime Victim Assistance application process.

How much does a session cost?
I offer a free 15 minute phone meeting to anyone interested in seeing me. This gives you an opportunity to ask me any questions that would help you begin to decide whether I’m the right counsellor for you. It also gives me an opportunity to find out a little about the issues you wish to address in counselling. If I feel that I do not have the training or experience to help you I will let you know and do all I can to refer you to someone who can help you.
I charge a standard rate according to the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, however, I do reserve a portion of my practice and reduce my fee for those who have low or no income due to disability or being a student, under-employed, or unemployed, etc. If this is the case for you, please contact me.
